It was very awkward as I stood listening to a collegue at work explain their view on the current affairs of the world to me, it seemed like, to her, the only problem in the world was the 'Radical Muslims' and the infamous 'Taliban'.
Everyone needs someone to blame I suppose, but, why is it that nowadays, people get comfort from allowing themselves to believe that the injusticies of the world, the mass murders and massacres faced by people all over the world from region to region, is all because of radicalists of one religion?
It seems even more deranged to believe that a man in a mountain is proclaiming a war against the 'west' and it seems like he is winning. A very interesting documentary to take a look at is 'The power or nightmares' by Adam Curtis. A link to the documentary for all of you who may be interested is: http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=-1320822957676559056#
It is unbearable to watch and hear of the sufferings of the world, but still, lets not become immune to this and forget that everyday people are dying, everyday people are fighting, and everyday the media will project minipulative and biased information and feed it into the brains of the average british citizen in knowing that everything that is relayed to them, will be believed to be a true account of what is going on in the world.
